You know, sometimes it's a hassle, inconvenient, and annoying that my 10 month old cannot/will not feed himself a bottle, and will not go to sleep without being rocked.
However, when he's curled up in a blanket against me, batting his eyelashes against my arm and stroking my hair, I'm so grateful that I still get to do that for him. And as he fell asleep on my chest, hand still passively stroking my hair, little foot kicking my knee I thought -- could I ask for anything more?
Part of me wants to freeze time, and hopes he can never hold his own bottle.
